PERFORMANCE

Dave is an jazz trumpeter living the greater Chicago area. He performs throughout the area in jazz clubs. The leader of his own jazz quartet for over 40 years. Dave, Jim Pierce , guitar and Nick Tountas, bass  have recently completed their first CD as the Chicago Jazz Trio. CLINICS/ADJUDICATION

Dave is active doing clinics with student jazz ensembles and also presenting Jazz improvisation clinics plus consulting for young musical artists.Dave has presented clinics to Music Educators and high school and college students in Jazz Improvisation; trumpet performance; Big band rehearsal techniques. The clinics have been presented as part of State music organizations and on the school campuses. Dave has also been a judge/adjudicator for many music competitions including the University of Texas-Austin jazz Festival, University of Texas - Arlington Jazz Festival; Abilene Christian University Jazz Festival. CONSULTING

Dave is available to share his years of experience in the music industry and to help artist develop strategies for successful careers as performers, songwriters and producers. Dave was the chair of the innovative and prestigious Commercial Music Department at McLennan Community College in Waco , Texas since founding the program in1980.
